What is Mock Trial?
Mock trial is a team based speech competition where students take on an attorney or witness roll and try a fictional legal case. The American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) leads over 300 universities in collegiate competition. After a season of invitational competitions in the fall (hosted by universities around the states) teams have the opportunity to compete to win the national title. Placing at the first round of Regional tournaments will earn teams a bid to the Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS). From there, the top teams from ORCS will face off in the National Championship Tournament (NCT).

At Loyola, we strive for excellence in and outside of the classroom, or courtroom as the case may be. Since the very beginning of our program, Coach Walsh has instilled pride and resilience in each competitor. Throughout the years, Loyola has grown into a national contender and important member of the American Mock Trial Association.
